Start with a photograph the model can read
Choose a JPG, PNG, or WebP that shows one complete object. The outer edge of the subject should be easy to distinguish from the background, and narrow features such as handles, stems, ears, legs, or spokes should have visible space around them. Leave a little room between the subject and every edge of the frame. Cropped parts are not recovered from hidden source data; the generator has to invent them.
Soft, even lighting usually communicates shape better than a dark silhouette or a blown highlight. Highly reflective, transparent, furry, or patterned surfaces can make depth ambiguous. A clean product-style view is a dependable starting point, but an ordinary photograph can still work when the object is fully visible.
Choose SPAR3D or Pixal3D

When the three-try rewarded option is shown, the two Pixal3D retries are useful when the first interpretation misses a hidden surface or merges a small feature. Each retry uses a new seed, but it remains tied to the original source image. All three completed results stay available for download for the rest of the 45-minute result window.
A retry asks Pixal3D to interpret the same evidence again; it does not let you replace the photograph. If you crop, retouch, replace, or reorder the front and back files, start a new set. This boundary keeps the reward simple and prevents a retry intended for one source from becoming an unrelated generation.
Add a back view when it provides real information
Pixal3D can use one optional back view. Photograph the same subject in the same pose, at a similar height and distance. A rotated or flexed subject creates conflicting evidence. Use the front image as the main view and the matching rear image only to describe surfaces that the front cannot show.
Validate the upload before generation
Photo2STL checks the file type, size, dimensions, and whether the image can actually be decoded. A file with a renamed extension, damaged bytes, impossible dimensions, or an unsupported format is rejected before a generation starts. You must also confirm that you have permission to process the image and accept the Terms.
The anti-abuse check protects the shared generation queue. It does not receive the selected image. If rewarded access is enabled for Pixal3D, the ad choice appears only after you select that model; SPAR3D remains available if you do not want to view an ad or no rewarded ad is available.
Let one job finish before starting another
After submission, the page reports whether the job is queued, generating, or preparing its files. Leaving the page does not necessarily cancel an accepted job, and the short-lived recovery record can reopen the latest result in the same browser. Use Leave queue or Cancel generation when you intend to stop it; repeatedly refreshing or opening parallel tabs does not make the GPU finish sooner.
If a temporary service error appears before a job is accepted, wait briefly and submit again. If an image-specific error appears, export the source again or choose another photograph. A rejected or corrupt upload should never be treated as a usable generation.
Inspect the geometry from every direction
Rotate the preview and check the silhouette, underside, back, thin features, openings, and places where two parts nearly touch. A convincing front view does not prove that the hidden geometry is accurate. The viewer reports useful mesh statistics, but visual inspection and a slicer check are still required.
Small holes can occur in generated surfaces, especially on detailed Pixal3D results. A larger break, corrupt file, unexpected disconnected object, inverted region, or missing primary feature should be treated as a failed result. Use an included Pixal3D retry with the same image or adjust the source and begin a new generation.

- 3MF is useful in modern print workflows and avoids some of STL's unit ambiguity.

- GLB is compact and convenient for 3D viewing and interchange.
Every format is produced from the same generated geometry. Switching formats does not repair or reinterpret the model. Download each result you may want to keep before its 45-minute window expires.
Decide whether the result is useful
A useful result preserves the subject's recognizable proportions, keeps intentional openings open, and does not add large detached pieces. Hidden surfaces may differ between seeds without making every variation defective. Compare the versions against the actual purpose: a draft may only need the overall volume, while a display print may need a clean silhouette and readable surface detail.
Do not judge only from the default camera angle. Zoom in, rotate underneath, and inspect the back. If the preview fails but the original file is offered, download it and check it in a desktop viewer before discarding the result.
Prepare the file before printing or manufacturing
Import the model into a slicer or mesh editor, set its physical dimensions, inspect thin regions, and choose an orientation. Preview every layer. Supports, wall count, layer height, temperature, and infill depend on the printer, material, nozzle, and intended use; Photo2STL does not validate structural strength or manufacturing safety.
