Choose an image that can become useful 3D geometry

The generator must infer depth and hidden surfaces from one view. A clear image gives it better evidence and makes the result easier to inspect and print.

Use one complete subject

Keep the entire object inside the frame. Cropped feet, handles, ears, or edges force the generator to invent the missing boundary.

Protect the silhouette

Choose a background that contrasts with the subject. Preserve visible gaps around thin features and between separate limbs or branches so they do not merge into one surface.

Prefer readable lighting

Even lighting and visible surface detail help communicate shape. Deep shadows, blown highlights, reflections, and transparent materials can hide the form that must be reconstructed.

Expect hidden areas to be estimated

A single image does not reveal the back or underside. Treat the result as generated geometry, rotate it carefully, and repair it when accuracy or fit matters.
